Cooperation

We work closely with other government agencies, NGOs and the private sector. Collaboration with European research institutes and universities adds an international dimension to our research and development work.

  • We participate in the Health Research and Innovation Council of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
  • We are a partner in public health programmes and projects of the World Health Organisation and the European Union.
  • We are a founding member of the International Association of Public Health Institutes (IANPHI).
  • We are members of the European Food Information Centre (EUROFIR) and the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR).
  • Together with other Estonian nationally accredited research institutions - the Institute of Chemical and Biological Physics, the Institute of the Estonian Language, the Estonian Institute of Plant Breeding and the Underi and Tuglas Literature Centre of the Estonian Academy of Sciences - we contribute to the advancement of Estonian science, education and culture. We have signed a cooperation agreement to defend our common interests and positions.
